What you will generally need
Requirements differ by program. Confirm yours on Canada.ca.
- Valid passport for every family member travelling
- Proof of funds appropriate to the program
- Letter of acceptance and provincial attestation letter for study permits
- Job offer and, where required, a positive LMIA for work permits
- Biometrics — valid for ten years for temporary residence applications
- Medical examination by a panel physician where required
- Police certificates for every country lived in six months or more since age 18
- Certified translations with an affidavit where the translator is not certified
